Cafe Ameca

Cafe Ameca, open 6 days a week from 8am~4pm, is situated on the ground floor of the hospital and has both indoor and outdoor seating where you can enjoy refreshments, snacks, or meals. A percentage of all proceeds go towards the healing of disabled children in Malawi.

The Cafe was built with the support of AMECA, a charitable trust founded in 2006 by Ruthie Markus, in memory of her only child, Lt. Alex Coutselos, a doctor in the British Army, who died on 15th October 2006, aged 23. AMECA is committed to the delivery of healthcare, training of healthcare professionals and to healthcare education in sub-Saharan African countries, through sustainable initiatives.
