The Beit CURE international hospital in Blantyre, Malawi is a 58-bed teaching hospital that specializes in treating the orthopedic needs of children and adults. The only hospital that regularly performs total hip and knee replacement surgery in Malawi, we have a track record of carrying out successful major orthopaedic operations at a competitive cost and use the best implants available in the world today. In fact, we see 8,000 patients every year, and perform more than 1,500 operations. Patients travel from all over Malawi and internationally in order to access the expertise and care that we provide. Our internationally trained surgeons and clinical officers are available Monday to Thursday for private appointments to assess your orthopaedic issues, give advice and suggest the appropriate treatment. Family Medicine Clinic
Our team of three family doctors are UK and Netherlands trained and are available 5 days a week to consult on all types of general health issues for the whole family. Between them, they specialise not only in all the common ailments such as athma, fevers, diabetes etc but also have expertise in mental health issues, womens'/reproductive health and tropical medicine.
Private physiotherapy appointments are available 5 days a week for those suffering with any form of joint and muscle issues.
Our wide range of auxiliary services means that all your medical needs can be met beneath one roof including a Lab for blood testing, a fully stocked pharmacy, digital X-ray services and help with medical health assessments. And after all your appointments, you then relax and enjoy a calming drink or tasty lunch in our own Ameca Cafe!
Every year we train nurses, clinical officers, medical students and surgeons from Malawi and many other countries in Africa, Europe and America. Our driving force is that excellence in Orthopaedic care is attained through study, careful practice and a patient-first commitment. By assisting in the training of many health care professionals we hope to expand access to medical care and raise the standards of medical care for future generation both in Malawi and abroad.
Our private ward comprises of eight bright and well supplied private rooms each with its own en-suite bathrooms and satellite TVs. Accommodation for guardians to stay is also available. All these facilities are backed by uncompromising standards of hygiene.
