Private Patient Unit

Through the Beit CURE International Hospital you can now access internationally recognised standards of care- right here in Malawi. It means there’s no necessity to go overseas for treatment- cutting out the organisation, time, costs and effort of traveling. Family and friends can visit, your cellphone works as normal, your business can continue and there’s no Forex needed.

  • We treat patients from a diversity of international backgrounds, many of whom have been referred by their doctors back home.
  • Patients benefit from a team of highly specialised consultants, many of whom are nationally and internationally recognised for their expertise and experience.
  • Consultants are supported in their work by nurses, therapists and other specialist clinical staff who are trained and are experts in their particular fields of orthopaedic care.
  • The Beit Cure International Hospital is a leader in research and training- being the largest centre for orthopaedic research in Sub-Saharan Africa as well as an official training centre for Orthopaedic Clinical Officers and surgeons in COSECSA (College of Surgeons of South East and Central Africa).
  • By choosing to have your treatment as a private patient at a hospital solely devoted to orthopaedic excellence whether in research, training, private care, or charity, you are assured of a comprehensive range of orthopaedic services on-site. There will always be a doctor who can see you in an emergency, with support from orthopaedic-trained nursing and therapies staff.
  • All income generated by private patients is invested into the curing and healing of children. Adults pay a fee so the children can walk free: every month many children from across Malawi with physical disabilities are treated free of charge. It means they can walk for the first time in their young lives, thanks to income from private patients.

Blantyre, Malawi

Malawi’s oldest city, Blantyre is the commercial capital of Malawi as well as being the nearest port to tourist attractions such as Liwonde National Park, Mount Mulanje, and Majete Wildlife Reserve. The city has a bustling compact central business district (CBD), which has led to the rapid development of upmarket shopping, eating, and nightlife facilities in both the city centre and its suburbs. The newly built Chichiri Shopping Mall is the biggest shopping mall in Malawi, and home to megastore Shoprite and the country’s only cinema complex.

As of August 2013, there are 4 routes flying directly to Blantyre:
